Just be sure to Chill the cake before cutting, and chill again after you put the thin layer of crumb frosting on. It is the easiest cake I have ever decorated. The grandkids just loved it. I loved the economy of the cake. I decorated with candy coated chocolate candies and green sugar.

I made this cake for my husband to take to his office party last year. It worked out well. I broke a piece of the cake while I was transfuring it- (by fault of my own, not the cake) I just glued it back together with more frosting- after its was top frosted no one could tell. Cake looked perfect. Will make again!!

I love this cake. It is so easy to make. It is a little awkard to pick up and put together but overall very easy to do. I used red and green candies as the ornaments and green sprinkles to decoarte with and it turned out real pretty.

This cake is NOT easy to measure and cut. Betty Crocker should add printable templates on the site. I had to scrap the whole thing and go out and buy another cake mix and just ended up doing a different cake. The cut pieces are also hard to transfer w/o breaking. Don't waste your time on this one. Very frustrating.

this cake was totally awesome ... i made this for christmas dessert this year n it went really well ... this is the best white cake i''ve ever had ... i changed a couple things for the decorations though ... i added a star sugar cookie to the top of the tree and then i used little red hot cinnamon candies as bulbs (and the contrast between the sweet and hot was really good - added more flavor) and then for the trunk i used a heath bar ... it was all very good ... thanks for such a great recipe! :-)
