Make a cake that's easy to take and share. Pockets of creamy pudding and melt-in-your-mouth peppermint candies are the memories you'll make.

Is white chocolate actually "white", because in the picture it shows a chocolate colored pudding in the poke. I like using the chocolate pudding. Also, for those having a hard time "crushing" the candies, I think they are using hard peppermint candies and not peppermint patties, which are very easy to cut into bits. Andes mint bits are also very good. At Christmas they come in red and white.

This is a very good cake. A lady I work with made it for a luncheon and everyone asked for the recipe. I made it for Christmas dinner. Everyone loved it! I did, however, find it extremely difficult to spread the frosting over the pudding. (Maybe I needed to poke more holes for the pudding to soak into.) The frosting and pudding got a bit mixed and the cake was not "pretty", but it sure tasted great and was a hit.

Relatively easy to make and made with just plain chocolate pudding-- YUM! So much fun to make and it looked so cute too! I would recommend crushing the peppermint pieces in a plastic baggie with the heel of a knife or a rolling pin if you cant find them already crushed. Also, these make pretty adorable cupcakes! Use the filling to fill your cupcakes (follow this link if you dont know how to!) ---> http://bakingbites.com/2007/09/how-to-make-filled-cupcakes-step-by-step/ Also, for the cupcakes I would recommend letting the pudding chill until its actually a pudding so it doesn't make your cupcakes squishy! Over all, great recipe!

This cake was an experiement with a group of friends. I used the chocolate pudding. They all loved it. It was moist with a nice after taste of peppermint. It's not too much flavor just perfect. It is now on the list of choices for birthday cakes with this group. Yummy!

Absolutely delicious. Had to change it to regular chocolate pudding because it's impossible to find white chocolate pudding. I didn't think vanilla pudding would be good with the mint flavoring. Easy to make, my family loved it. Not too minty, it didn't taste like toothpaste.

Easy to make, and very, very moist. I would use more peppermint in the filling, though...otherwise, it's not minty enough.
