I didn't find this kind of cookie mix at the store so I tweaked it a little. I used Rainbow Chip Cookie mix (the regular cookies with mini M&M's) and added a little cocoa to them to darken the cookies. I forgot until I got to the step that the recipe called for a hand mixer. We don't have one so I beat the cream with a couple of forks for awhile. Instead of peanuts I cut up a few bite size Resees and Hershey's. It turned out to be amazing!

Finding the called for flavor of cookie mix was not easy, but when I finally stumbled on it I made sure to buy some and try this dessert. Not too bad! The cream is absorbed into the cookies to make a GREAT consistency, and the chocolate-covered peanuts make a very nice touch. I found the taste to be a little bland, however, and surprisingly lacking in chocolate flavor. If you prefer to taste 90% peanut butter and 10% chocolate, you'd probably enjoy this, but I tend to prefer it either more equal or with a higher chocolate to peanut butter ratio. Not sure if I'll make it again....

I made this last year. It was really good even though I messed up on a couple things. It looks nothing like the picture. haha. I am not the best cook though. But it was pretty good and everyone loved it. So I would probably make it again. Not often though. It is pretty rich also. Plus I substituted for chocolate chips spinkled on the top instead. Yum!

I love love peanut butter....anything peanut butter. I saw this recipe and had to try it. Although I love peanut butter, I am not a fan of the covered peanuts. I used mini reese cups crushed in between the layers instead. I also used the Betty Crocker peanut butter cookie pouch because I could not find the chocolate chip peanut butter pouch. I added the chunk chips to the mix and made them like nrownies instead of cookies. This worked out extremely well. There was not a drop left when I brought it to my girls night......

I havn't found the cookie mix either, but Save Mart carries double chocolate chunk. Just use that one, and add reeces peanut butter chips to it.

I made this for myself on my birthday, and it was wonderful! I probably could have whipped the cream a bit more, but even so it turned out delicious :D

Everyone raved over this dessert! It is delicious! I put chocolate and peanut butter chips in between the layers and on top. I also just used cool whip rather than making my own. It worked out great! YUM!! Definately will be making again!

I made this Trifle for our annual SuperBowl Party this year and let me tell you I handed out the recipe at the end of the night to a few people. It was one of the best desserts EVER! Everyone LOVED it! They raved about it!As far as preparation, as long as you remember to "fold" in the peanutbutter/brown sugar mixture by HAND and not with a mixer you are GOLDEN! It is easy to make and let me tell you it is EASY TO EAT! Guarenteed to leave NO left overs only an empty dish!
