Ingredients

cups packed brown sugar
1/2
cup butter, softened
1
cup creamy peanut butter
2
teaspoons vanilla
2
eggs
1 1/2
cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1
teaspoon baking powder
1
bag (11.5 or 12 oz) semisweet chocolate chunks (2 cups)

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray.
  • 2 In large bowl, beat brown sugar and butter with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in peanut butter, vanilla and eggs until well blended. Stir in flour and baking powder. Stir in chocolate chunks. Spread in pan.
  • 3 Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until set and golden brown. Cool completely in pan on cooling rack, about 1 hour. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.

These turned out awesome! One of my favorites to date. Next time I will try adding in some pecans ... easy recipe and seems versatile for different add-ins.

Whoops! I substituted shortening for butter and they turned out too hard and crunchy. Don't do what I did; use butter. Other than that, I used butterscotch chips instead of chocolate, which tasted good.
