1
cup Bisquick Heart Smart® mix
3
tablespoons unsweetened baking cocoa
2
tablespoons sugar
1
teaspoon ground cinnamon
2/3
cup chocolate milk
1/4
cup fat-free egg product
2
ripe pears, peeled, thinly sliced
1/4
cup maple-flavored syrup
  1. In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, cocoa, sugar and cinnamon. Stir in milk and egg product until blended.
  2. Heat griddle or skillet over medium heat or to 375°F. Grease griddle with vegetable oil if necessary (or spray with cooking spray before heating). For each pancake, use slightly less than 1/4 cup batter. Cook pancakes until bubbly on top, puffed and dry around edges. Turn and cook other sides until golden brown.
  3. Meanwhile, in medium microwavable bowl, heat pears and syrup on High 2 minutes or until mixture is hot and pears are tender. Serve sauce with pancakes.
Makes 3 servings (3 pancakes and about 1/2 cup sauce each)

Tip:
Chocolate doesn’t always mean very rich and sweet. These pancakes are just slightly sweet. The slightly bitter cocoa flavor is complemented by the sweet pear sauce.
