When guests see this dark chocolate cake drizzled in rich chocolate, they’ll think you’ve been baking all day. No need to tell them that this chocolate-orange gem started with a mix!

I made this cake today for my husband's birthday. I used the suggestion of adding orange juice for some of the water. I also added 2 Tbs of orange zest. He loved it and ate ANOTHER piece. I will be making this again!

Yesterday, w/in 3.5 hrs made an entire b'day dinner for our daughter's special day which included this incredibly easy and delectable cake! Before the cake was made I read all the reviews which allowed me to use 2-3 squares chopped of an orange chocolate bar in the cake batter as well as in the ganache. Talk abt a rich and moist cake - it was amazingly awesome & a cake that shall be made for years to come.

This evening, I needed something quick, easy and different to have for dessert following a wonderful meal prepared for my husband and his boss. I didn't have time to go to the store; which meant I had to use what was in the pantry. So, I was pleased to find this recipe. To give the cake a lighter and more moist taste, I used 1 cup water and 1/3 cup orange juice for the fluid in the cake mix. It was delicious. Since edible flowers are not a normal find in my kitchen, I sliced an orange and garnished the cake with a fresh orange and fresh mint, for color. Both of them were awed by the appearance. Wish I had read the reviews before baking the cake. Next time, I will use a 1/2 melted chocolate orange for the topping. Great idea! Oh, the boss took a very nice size piece home. I think we made lots of "Chocolate-Orange" points with the boss. Thanks!

I enjoyed eating this cake. After I got the orange zest I used the juice from the orange and added it to the water to make the correct liquid amount. Will make this again. It was very moist and an easy recipe for something a little different.

My family loved this cake, but I think the recipe needs more orange peel. It could easily stand 4 T. Some people thought it was almond flavored instead of orange. Otherwise, it's a delicious cake!

Oh my!!! This cake is sinfully delicious! I made it today for Valentine's Day. It tasted divine. Very easy recipe to follow. The only change I made, was that I substituted a dark chocolate candy bar that's flavored with orange extract, for the chocolate chips. It just helped enhance the orange flavor of the cake. If I'm ever in the mood for a guilty pleasure, you can be sure that I'm going to make this cake!!!

This was easy- and great, try it, you'll like it! I substitued orange juice for water. I used 2 sizes of pans for a different tier effect. I also added a layer of blueberry preserves ontop of the icing between the two cakes, I put fresh blueberries ontop of the chocolate ganache. YUM YUM Very fragrant and a crowd pleaser!

This cake was easy to make, and it was AWESOME! I made this cake for a birthday in my office. It got rave reviews from everyone, and everyone wanted the recipe. Some said it was the best cake ever. I highly recommend this recipe and will definitely be making it again. Since I had leftover heavy whipping cream, I added some confectioners suger to that and decorated the top of the cake with that. Also, I think the cake tastes its best when it's cold.
