I made this cake yesterday and loved it. On a whim I made a cream cheese icing with orange extract. It was delicious and I will make it again. The texture of the cake is excellent.

Do I need to change anything if I don't use a gluten free mix?

I made the cake recipe exactly, but poured it into 2 nine inch pans. It only took 25 minutes to bake. The frosting recipe is so delicious but not enough. So I used it as a filling, and substituted the canned vanilla for the outside of my double layer cake. It was delicious. The orange flavour is subtle yet adds that unique citrus kick to the chocolate. I will definitely add this to my recipe box.
