I made this for 3 of my neighbors, and they loved it! I changed the chocolate chunks to chips, and I used a box of brownie mix, i think it was that much better!

I questioned the brownie cooking time and since the toothpick wasn't clean I baked until it was and it was very difficult to cut perhaps it continued baking for the cooling process I don't know. The mousse part was outstanding and I will use this probably as frosting for other occasions. I think it would be good with a cake base too...

I made this for our Christmas dinner and it was so good and rich! My mother in law has already requested to have one for her birthday cake.

I don't know if it is the oven or if I didn't follow the directions right, but my brownies took forever for a toothpick to come clean which resulted in the brownie base being baked twice as long and they became solid like a rock. I will try again this time omitting the chunks and cooking the brownies according to the directions on the box.

This dessert is outstanding. One thing I'd recommend is not adding the chocolate chunks to the brownie base. They are overpowering and make the torte difficult to cut. The chunks are so big and the pecans/toffee bits get lost because of them. I think the mousse would go better with a plain brownie base.

The decoration looks great but easy to make. To combine cream cheese and chocolate is one thing that I've never thought before. I will try it . Thank you very much for good recipe.
