Ingredients

cup mayonnaise

teaspoon vanilla extract

cups all-purpose flour

cup sugar
3
tablespoons baking cocoa
2
teaspoons baking soda
1/2
cup packed brown sugar
1/4
cup butter, cubed
2
tablespoons milk
1 3/4
cups confectioners' sugar

  • 1 In a large bowl, combine the water, mayaonnaise and vanilla until well blended.
  • 2 In a large bowl, combine the flour,sugar,cocoa and baking soda; gradually beat into mayaonnaise mixture until blended.
  • 3 Pour into greased 9-in. square or 11-in. x 7in. baking pan. Bake at 350* for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick insert near the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
  • 4 For frosting, in a small saucepan. Cook and stir brown sugar in butter until bubbly. Remove from the heat; stir in milk. Gradually add confectioners' sugar; beat until smooth. Frost cake.
