For even baking, make sure cookies are the same size.

Cookie dough can be covered and refrigerated up to 24 hours before baking. If it's too firm, let stand at room temperature 30 minutes.

Has anyone ever made these with anything other than peanut butter cookie? I was thinking perhaps chocolate chip cookie dough (minus the chocolate chips), or snickerdoodle cookies. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

I made these cookies but used the betty crocker recipe from the book. I heard raves and raves from my friends and family. I found some dark chocolate hearts, and those seemed to be the favorites.
