Instead of using the pretzel I used just a round dolup of white frosting and kept the hot pink heart and I gave them to all my friends and they loved them. This is such a fantastic/creative idea!!!!!!!

this were really easy to make (I actually did my chocolate chip cookies from scratch) and adorable! However they are a little rich which makes one enough and very filling. I found wetting my had a little then smoothing out the chocolate frosting made it look more like fudge and a lot smoother.

I thought I'd switch colors and use cream cheese frosting and chocolate covered pretzels. Then I went to make them and read the directions closer. I still added the chocolate chips (after all, chocolate plus cream cheese equals chocolate cheesecake, right?) My seven year old pronounced them "THE BEST!", and I enjoyed them as well.

These were good, but I had trouble with the chocolate layer not sticking to the cookie layer. I used a little frosting as a glue to stick the chocolate back on after I cut them. I'm trying again -- this time I will get the chocolate mixture a little warmer and perhaps try putting it on before the bars cool completely.

This is such a simple and easy dish to make for picnics and parties when you need to take a dish to share and your time is limited. I''ve made a few variations to the end result. I''ve added chopped pecans or walnuts to the top instead of the pretzel and simply lightly press them into the truffle top before it cools. And for a demonstration of holiday treats, I put a little green icing with a candy pumpkin in the center, or a white icing dollop with a little green star shape piped in the middle with a gold dragee on top to look like a Christmas tree.

I used Walnut Choc Chip cookie mix to begin with. I added 1/2 cup extra chopped walnuts. Instead of the frosting I sprinked top with powdered sugar and then sprinkled red crystal decors'' on top. this eliminated the frosting and a lot of calories. They tasted very good.

Made these for my cousin''s birthday party instead of a cake. The children enjoyed the truffle. I placed one candle on each bar and I used a the pink icing in the shape in a heart, and left the pretzels off. I am going to make these for my cousin''s Valentine party. They are easy to make and delicious.
