My son wanted a marble cake for his birthday and you can't buy a marble cake mix (at least where I live) that is safe for someone who has an allergy to peanuts and/or tree nuts. I thought there had to be a way to make a marble cake from a vanilla cake mix and turned to this site for suggestions. I found this and I just know he's going to love it. He's used to making accomodations for his little brothers allergy, but no accomodation needed. He'll get exactly what he asked for and more. Thank You!

I was suppose to bring a cake to this meeting we were having at work when I realized I didn't any cake recipes. I was running a little behind that week, and I need a speedy recipe. I ran into this while surfing through the betty crocker page. I couldn't ask for anything easier! It was delicious and everyone enjoyed it!

I will definitely make this cake again. It was delicious and moist. I made it exactly as written except I sprinkled the chips on top of the cake instead of mixing them in the frosting (to make frosting easier) and I didn't put chocolate syrup on top but I think it would be good that way. I got many compliments.

The cake was absolutely life changing. It looked delicious but when I tasted it, it felt as if it was dancing on my tongue. You could definitely taste the chocolate in every bite. My kids loved it so much that they insitted on making it for every celebration. This is a recipe I will always make and remember. I hope everyone who made it feels the same as me. :)

OH. MY. GOODNESS. This cake is soooo good. It's chocolately, vanilla, and creamy all in one. The cake is so moist and delicious and tastes unlike any other cake I have made, and to think it came from a BOX!! I will never tell!!!!!!

This cake was great! I made it in my dorm's kitchen and it was a bit tight in there, but it worked. I left the cake in the pan to cool since I didn't have a cooling rack and it was fine. Instead of the white cake mix I used the golden vanilla mix and used Hershey Special Dark chocolate syrup. It tasted amazing! It was soft, moist, and fluffy. I will be making this cake again for sure!

I made this cake for a Super Bowl party. Everyone loved it...including my husband who is more of a "vanilla" guy. I didn't know what he was going to think about this cake with the chocolate chips and syrup...but he wants me to bake it again for his birthday in March. Yummy!!!
