Wow! What a great cake to take to a potluck. They'll be asking, "How'd you do it?"

Made this for a wedding shower and it was a hit! I used the mini chocolate chips and was surprised that they did not sink to the bottom. I have already been asked to make this yummy dessert again!

We made this cake last night after dinner... I don't know what I did wrong but the chips sank to the bottom of the batter and anchored themselves to the pan... It was a disaster. Flavor of cake was OK.. nothing really to write home about.

I made this for a church potluck and it was a big hit! I did tweak the recipe a bit...using B.C. Golden Vanilla cake mix (my favorite go-to basic cake mix) and topped with my homemade Chocolate Frosting. Result was a chocolate-lover's delight!!!

This cake is awesome! I have made it twice now and using the mini chocalate chips makes such a difference. They won't settle to the bottom like the regular sized ones. I also use cream cheese icing instead of regular white and it is yummy. My husband actually got upset when I took a piece to his parents.

@tetalynne If I made this into a bundt cake, I would double the cake mix and use a 12-cup bundt pan and bake at 325 degrees. I would melt the icing partially in the microwave, then stir.Drizzle over cooled cake.

This is more of a question..would you make any major adjustments if making this into a bundt cake? Not sure what to do about icing if I made it a bundt!

I made this cake following the directions in the original recipe for a coworker's birthday and it came out perfectly delicious! I made a buttercream frosting rather than using canned frosting, which made the whole cake taste more homemade. When my coworkers found the pan empty on the third day, they were sad they didn't get to have any more. I bake a lot and have never heard that comment, so that's saying something for this recipe! I'll absolutely make it again and recommend you do the same :)
