Made these today! Only thing I changed was I took out the chic. chips. I used parchment paper and sprayed it with cooking oil. It turned out perfectly! Left it cool in pan and lifted out the whole sheet before I cut it. NO crumbs at all...you think the crust will be dry,but it soaked up the liquid. Will make again. I don't know why people are having dry crust. Glad I tried them.

Next time I prepare these, I WILL grease the pan. Also, a little salt will be added and I think milk chocolate chips are ging to be my chip of choice. They tasted pretty good just needed a few tweeks. May press the crust down lightly, also. But these will be baked again!

I was a bit nervous to try this recipe after reading the negative reviews, but these bars left me pleasantly surprised. My first bar did crumble when I tried to get it out of the pan, but it was smooth sailing after that. I sprayed the pan generously, and next time I will line it with parchment paper for easier cutting, but overall I did not experience any problems with the base becoming crumbly. These bars were super easy and delicious!

These bars were all right. Not great -- not nearly as tasty as a traditional pecan pie. I had no issues w/ the crust. I did drizzle a little low-fat caramel dip over the top of them, and it upped the "yum factor". I might make them again.

I don't understand why everyone is having so much trouble with the crust. I almost didn't make these because of all the other reviews. Everything was simple. I followed the recipe to a T. The crust has to be pressed firmly to the dish. They are tasty, but not as good as pecan pie or "derby" pie. Personally, I'd use about a 1/4 cup less of chocolate chips.

The bars were GREAT, besides the bottom. They were moist and tasted great, despite the fact that the bottom fell apart and was too flaky. (the recipe said not to spray the pan, but I HIGHLY recommend that you do spray the pan!) I am making them again for Thanksgiving, but will probably use graham crackers and butter to make the bottom layer instead. They flavors worked very well together!

Easy to make, doesn't seem like enough butter for the bottom of the crust. Falls apart pretty easy. Wasn't thrilled with the flavor. Wouldn't make again.

With so many poor reviews, I ask, how did this recipe win anything at all? I am afraid to try it.

Concept was great but the base was a mess - no one would eat them :-(
