You can make these pancakes healthier by using 4 egg whites instead of 2 whole eggs and using skim milk. This will reduce the amount of fat and trans fat in this recipe. I also agree with not mixing the chocolate chips into the batter because they will sink to the bottom. It is better to sprinkle on when in skillet before flipping. I also jazz these pankcakes up by adding a few drops of food color into the batter. Kids love them!!!
