I added cereal sized marshmallows WITH the chocolate chips making these pancakes "s'mores pancakes" and it was a HIT!!! my kids loved them and so did the hubby!

These are yummy....I don't mix in the chocolate chips, just sprinkle on before flipping. So good you don't even need syrup :)

You can make these pancakes healthier by using 4 egg whites instead of 2 whole eggs and using skim milk. This will reduce the amount of fat and trans fat in this recipe. I also agree with not mixing the chocolate chips into the batter because they will sink to the bottom. It is better to sprinkle on when in skillet before flipping. I also jazz these pankcakes up by adding a few drops of food color into the batter. Kids love them!!!

I have been making these for my grandsons for years and they absolutely love them! I do add a teaspoon of vanilla to the batter and I do not mix in the chocolate chips. I sprinkle them on top before I turn the pancakes.
