Use shiny, heavy aluminum or gray, nonstick-coated cookie sheets for evenly browned cookies.

Cookie sheets should be at least 2 inches smaller than the inside of your oven to allow the heat to circulate around the cookie sheets.

So cute.. yes they are chocolate chip cookies from a mix and they lose a little shape but they turned out great! Could tell they were hearts and tasted great.. not sure why the other reviewers are whining and complaining.I got 13 cookies out of the batch and will use this recipe again next year!

I wanted so badly to have cute shaped cookies that i ignored the 5 bad reviews (out of 7). That was a mistake. I followed directions to the letter. And it went all downhill at the cookie cutter. The cookie dough was so sticky, it stuck to my fingers, to the cutter to the pan . . . The one cookie i got mostly shaped, spread out into misformed blob in the oven. On the bright side, they tasted good, and were moist and fluffy . . .
