No rolling pin is needed! A cookie cutter and balls of cookie dough are the secret to lovely cookies.

So cute.. yes they are chocolate chip cookies from a mix and they lose a little shape but they turned out great! Could tell they were hearts and tasted great.. not sure why the other reviewers are whining and complaining.I got 13 cookies out of the batch and will use this recipe again next year!

I wanted so badly to have cute shaped cookies that i ignored the 5 bad reviews (out of 7). That was a mistake. I followed directions to the letter. And it went all downhill at the cookie cutter. The cookie dough was so sticky, it stuck to my fingers, to the cutter to the pan . . . The one cookie i got mostly shaped, spread out into misformed blob in the oven. On the bright side, they tasted good, and were moist and fluffy . . .

I like the chocolate chip cookie mix for quick & pretty good chocolate chip cookies - but I found that adding the flour to them so they can be made into the cut-out shapes distorted the flavor a bit. They were good - but not a favorite. The heart shapes were a cute idea though.

the cookies do not keep their heart shape by the end of cooking. the only thing thats good is the taste! i wanted the heart shape for valentines day but it did not work.

First the recipe was easy to follow, but when trying to shape the dough with the cookie cutter it became extremely difficult. The dough would not hold its shape and left a mess on the baking pan from trying to separate the excess dough.

This is a really yummy recipe, and extremely simple, too. I got lots of oohs and aaahs from the women when I brought these in. They are a fun way to make a cookie a little more special. I only got 12 cookies from the recipe, but they were easy to make and tasted great.
