The combination of peanut butter and chocolate is timeless in mouthwatering morsels that get a head start from yellow cake mix.

I have made these cookies several times, and they have been a HUGE hit! I did melt the butter the second time I made them and it seemed to help mix the batter. I used the yellow cake mix the first time but the second time I used the super moist chocolate fudge mix and they were amazing!!

I used the 1/2 a stick of butter like a few people already suggested and I added a splash of vanilla extract; they were fabulous!! I also used a rounded teaspoon instead of tablespoon and it made bite sized cookies, Great for any special occasions!!

I tried the Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookie recipe and am glad to know I was not the only one with not-so-good first results. I made them today and they are DRY and hard. I was planning to try them again and add double the butter and see how that does. Good to know someone has already tried that idea and it works well. Think I'll like it better next time.

I baked these cookies using everything as it says, except I used one stick of melted butter rather than 1/2 stick softened. I then cooked them at 325 degrees for sixteen minutes. They came out perfectly! I will definitely make these again. My entire family loved them!

so instead of a 1/4 c. of butter do a 1/2 and they come out perfect.. i have made them several times and it just works... also i dont use betty crocker cake mix i have been using pilsbury golden butter recipe cake mix and they are turning out great. Also i have to cook them for several minutes longer than it recomends but they turn out good!

The batter was really tough and did not blend together until I mixed the batter with my hands. I baked the first batch just like the directions and kind of dry. The second batch I made I added an extra egg and a little vegetable oil to moisten the dough. The second batch ended up better than the first but still just ok. Kind of disappointing since I LOVE peanut butter and chocolate together.
