Very Yummy!! My family loved these with a scoop of vanilla icecream! They were so easy to make that I will be making these again.

These were great - very sweet! I didn't have the nuts this time, but had everything else . . . I agree about the topping, perhaps I should have reserved 1 1/2 cups . . . also agree about the tin foil - make sure the caramel is 1/2 inch away from the edge of the crust!! However, very good and I will certainly make again. Never would have thought of using the cake mix as a base - great idea!

Not a fan. They were dry and hard. Took quite a bit of effort to mix the oatmeal, cake mix, and egg together. I had to use my hands.

Husband liked these. Me- just ok. I was hoping for more like the BC Turtle Cookie Bars mix in the box. These were thicker and drier than the box mix. I didn't use foil, just sprayed the pan and they were easy to remove. My caramel was 16 oz jar so had a few tablespoons extra. Would just use it all next time. Reserving 1 cup of oat mixture was not enough to crumble over top, I used 1 1/2 cups. I also think I would use scant 2 cups of oatmeal next time.

WOW! These things were wonderful. Kids loved them. Only thing I did differently is to use Sugar Free Carmel since everything else (chocolate chips & cake mix) had enough sugar.

I've created a monster! This is all anyone ever wants me to bring to potlucks anymore. They don't even care if I'm not there as long as these cookie bars are!

Very yummy! I did add a quarter cup of ground flax seed meal to the cake mix/oatmeal mixture, to make me feel less guilty, ha! Also, next time I will NOT line the pan with foil--the caramel stuck to it, so we had to peel foil off some bars. I think greasing the pan would be just as easy!

Delicious, and the whole apartment smelled amazing! I would keep the carmel sauce away from the absolute edge so that it's easier to take out of the foil.
