Ingredients

2: cups Cheerios® cereal

1 1/4: cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour

1/3: cup packed light brown sugar

1: teaspoon baking powder

1: teaspoon ground cinnamon

3/4: teaspoon baking soda

1: cup applesauce

1/3: cup milk

3: tablespoons vegetable oil

1: egg

1/2: cup miniature chocolate chips

Directions

1 Heat oven to 400°F. Place paper baking cups in each of 12 regular-size muffin cups or spray bottoms only with cooking spray.
2 Place cereal in resealable food-storage plastic bag; seal bag. Using rolling pin, crush cereal; pour into large bowl. Add flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and baking soda; mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients just until moistened. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups.
3 Bake 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from muffin cups. Cool 5 minutes before serving.

I made these for breakfast today. They were a big hit. Warm and freash out of the oven is the way to eat these. Not a single muffin was left over. They were also quick and easy to make. My family said these are a DO AGAIN.
