I have made this soup a couple of times now and it has quickly become a family favorite - even my four year old likes it! I usually add a bit more pasta in addition to what comes with the HH - a very quick and yummy dinner!

I love this! I use to make it a lot, but I can not find the HH chili mac any where, the original not the mexican. Any suggestions?

I am making it now and I got the wrong type of HH. Instead of chili mac, I got cheeseburger mac. I hope it comes out ok. Ok Well, it is OK. I like it. But, it needs more spices. Pretty cheap and yummy otherwise.

Delicious and EASY!!! I subbed an entire 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes for the diced because that's what I had on hand, and I omitted the olives out of family preference. Also used frozen chopped onion and bell pepper for convenience, and the soup was to die for. My mother stopped by for a bowl and said she preferred it over her normal stew recipe she's been making for decades! New family favorite... thanks Betty!

This was awesome to cook and eat!!! I made some adjustments like adding the whole little can of the olives and added a box of other noodles (little shells). I also made a southwestern cornbread to eat with it. YUMMY!!!! Will absolutely make this again.

I made this exactly as directed and it was AWFUL!! There was no flavor to it. My husband added some ketchup to his just to finish the bowl, I opted to eat a bowl of cereal for dinner instead.

Yummmmm! This was one great winter-night, warm your belly comfort meal. My husband is hard to please and he loved it! First time around, I usually do the recipe as written but as I had no thawed ground beef and didn't want to take a trip to the store, I used a tube of hot italian sausage. Everything else was as written. Wow! What a great taste! Will make again for family and friendly gettogeathers. Quick and easy to make and (at the very least, made with hot italian sausage) a KEEPER! Thanks, chunkychipmunk

I make this recipe and use my homemade "HH seasoning mix". Here's the recipe: 1/3 cup instant nonfat milk, 2-1/2 Tb cornstarch, 2 tsp beef bouillon granules (Wylers), 1 tsp onion powder, 1/8 tsp dried thyme, 1/8 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp dried parsley, 1/2 tsp garlic powder. Combine & set aside. Brown 1 pound ground beef (or meat of choice), drain. Add 1 cup COOL water and the reserved seasoning mix. Stir until smooth. Add two cans (15 oz each) canned tomatoes, 1 Tb. chili powder & 1-1/2 cups elbo macaroni (or pasta of choice). Bring to a boil, then turn heat down and simmer covered until pasta is tender and remove from heat. Sauce will thicken upon standing. I prefer to omit green pepper and use green chiles. Ro-tel is also good but you will need 3 (10 oz.) cans. This is less expensive, lower sodium and you know what's in that sauce!
