I made this for guests for a football game, and after tasting the original recipe, I decided it was an excellent beginning and began adding my personal touches. I added 1 can diced green chilis and 1Tbsp taco seasoning mix. I served with the grated cheese, diced avacados and lime juice from fresh lime wedges. I put this in a crock pot and cooked on low for several hours( about 4 to 5) then turned to keep-warm. This turned out to be a really good cold weather meal. We finished off the evening with brownies and called it good. Thanks for the recipe.

I was a little nervous about this as I was dumping the ingredients in the pot...but once I dished it up over the corn muffins my worries were unfounded! This was very easy to make and actually quite tasty. So easy that my husband and I added it to our 'kayaking w/rustic camping' trip meal list (w/pre-made corn muffins).

It was a very good recipe. Just add 1/2 cup more cheese and it makes a meal my whole family shoveled down.

My husband and I love the recipe but I had a hard time getting the dumplings to cook on the stove. I ended up putting the whole pot in the oven for a little bit to make sure they were cooked and not doughy.

This is really good. I made some changes to it though. I didn't have any chicken breasts so I browned ground turkey. I also don't have a dutch oven, so I made the chili in a cast iron skillet and then covered that with aluminium foil and it turned out great. Come to think of it, this would be a really easy camping recipe. The flavors are very kid friendly in fact my kids loved helping me make it. Their favorite part was making the dumplings and then dropping them on the chili.
