EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

* To toast almonds, cook in ungreased heavy skillet over medium-low heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently until browning begins, then stirring constantly until golden brown.

Make a day ahead; cover and refrigerate. Stir the salad before serving. If needed, add a tablespoon or two of milk to make it more creamy.

The salad was good, but a little bland. The addition of a few herbs would make it better.

I made this yesterday and it was so good. My husband thought it would be a good meal to make in morning and have for dinner on those too hot to cook days. Couldn't find the yogart it called for but used a greek honey yogart that our local market carries.

Really enjoyed this! Made half the recipe, served with dinner rolls and had just enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Didn't use the almonds.
