Ingredients

boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/4
cup Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1/2
cup dry or sweet Marsala wine
1
can (18 oz) Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ creamy portabella mushroom cooking sauce
2
tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, if desired

  • 1 Between sheets of plastic wrap or waxed paper, flatten chicken to 1/4-inch thickness. In shallow dish, mix flour and 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Coat chicken breasts with flour mixture.
  • 2 In 12-inch skillet, heat 2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot. Cook chicken breasts in oil 6 to 8 minutes, turning once, until brown. Slowly add wine; continue cooking until wine is reduced to about 1 tablespoon. Add cooking sauce and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Reduce heat to medium; simmer 6 to 8 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink in center, turning once.
  • 3 Sprinkle with parsley.

I have made this twice now and my husband just loves it! I use 2 chicken breasts that I cut in half and have 4 pieces that I pound out to an even thickness. I add a can of mushroom pieces to the sauce as well. This is a real favorite in my house and will be a regluar on my menu. I love all of the Recipe Starters - where have you been all my culinary life???

FANTASTIC Recipe! I used sweet Marsala wine, it was a little too sweet. I'll change to the dry Marsala from now on. I also saute'd sliced Crimini mushrooms and added it to the mushroom sauce. It was an easy to follow recipe and very little prep. This will be a regular at our house. :)
