Make the Most of This Recipe With Tips From The Betty Crocker® Kitchens
You can use uncooked chicken breasts instead of the rotisserie chicken. Add 2 tablespoons margarine or butter (instead of 1) to bacon drippings in skillet; carefully add 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1/2-inch cubes. Cook over medium-high heat about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until outsides turn white. Beginning with step 2, continue with recipe as written—except omit rotisserie chicken.
Carbonara sauce is a white sauce flavored with Parmesan cheese and bacon or ham. We've added peas to this version for a touch of sweetness and color.
