have made this dish a couple of times with it the original recipe, adding mushrooms fried in butter to it once and it is a keeper! I can't see why you can't add some chopped up/diced veggies to the beginning process or add it to the boiling water when doing up the spaghetti, will try this next time around.
I find that I need to add more than what they require for the whipped cream/heavy cream and the cheese is a preference if you want to add more or not, as I find it to be enough. very rich dinner/lunch.
