A comforting casserole is 30 minutes away! Canned soup, frozen mixed vegetables and cooked chicken accelerate prep time.

I was really excited to try this recipe after reading the reviews. I followed the recipe exactly. Unfortunately I and my husband thought it was a really pasty mess.

This is an oldie but goodie. If you don't like the cornbread stuffing, try using the Herb Stuffing by Pepperidge farm. The original recipe I had called for adding 1/2 cup shredded swiss or moz. cheese, which I LOVE. IF you just don't like stuffing; I switch this recipe around, too with Ritz crackers because sometimes I won't have stuffing but all the other ingredients, but I'll have Ritz. There's just something about puttin' on the Ritz. ;-) You can use a couple cans of drained & RINSED Veg-all if you don't like the frozen veg., too. I find that easier. I also add a small can of mushrooms (drained and rinsed).

Found this recipe very good for leftover turkey. Did up the milk to one cup to prevent dryness. Family really enjoyed this.

I made a few changes to the original recipe. First I cut up boneless/skinless chicken thighs and baked them with Shake and Bake coating. I used the Stovetop idea from one of the other reviews. I made the recipe as listed with the addition of about a cup of sour cream. It was wonderful. My picky, picky husband loved it, and actually asked to make it again the following week.

This was not good. I tasted every seperate ingredient and it did not blend into a meal. Suffered through it with hot sauce.

To: Slosh29 - Try Stove Top. Since it comes pre-seasoned, you might omit the sage.

Overall, this was an easy recipe to pull together with food items and spices already in my freezer/cabinet. Based on a few of the reviews I decided to taste test it before adding the shrimp - to make sure that I had seasoned it to my liking. It baked quickly enough and was very tasty - although its a much better meal in my opinion for the little ones as I found it hard to stomach so much breaddiness (made-up-word) in one dish. My 3 1/2 year old twins loved it! Great meal idea that saved time.
