These round dumplings are not your traditional chicken and dumplings, and you'll love the peppery difference.

Awesome recipe! Tried for the first time last night, it was great! I added cream of chicken and half can of cream of celery. Swapped out the peas for green beans and used cheese and garlic bis wick biscuit mix. Yummy!

This recipe is phenomenal. We love it, with a couple of twists... First, double the pepper, or it still needs a bit of zest. Second, ALWAYS double the recipe for the dumplings, or there will never be enough. (lol) Third, you can use any "cream of ..." soup; we've tried a variety and like them all. If you double the recipe, use two different soups. It adds extra flavor, and in our house, we have to double the recipe, or there isn't enough to go around. (lol) A final note, is to experiment with a variety of veggie choices.

This was the best chicken and dumplings I've ever had!! It was even better the next day! I doubled everything so that I could have left overs. I used one can of cream of mushroom soup and one can of cream of chicken. I also used bought a 3 lb rotisserie chicken from the grocery store the night before so all I had to do was heat it up in the microwave the next day and pull off of the chicken. This is such a huge time saver! I also made my dumplings really small and placed them very gently on top or else if you dropped them to quickly they would sink.

This is a hit in my family. I tried this a couple years ago and my family requests it often. I have to triple the recipe for my family to make enough. I highly recommend this.

My husband usually does not like dumplings, and I remember early in our marriage my feelings got hurt over a chicken and dumpling slowcooker recipie that I tried, but he loves this recipie and often askes for it for dinner. I will even double the recipie so he can take the left overs in his lunch the next day.

Very good and filling too! My husband loved it! I made some additions to the recipe... powdered cream of potatoe soup and I altered the measurements a little.

I made this for the first time last night and I didn''t think it was going to turn out and to my surprise it was the best dinner I had made in a while. Definately a repeat recipe. I also used cream of potatoe soup. This is so good I am making it again tonight!!!

I cook every now and then tonight I decided to try this recipe. The longest part of this whole meal was cooking the chicken. I made one substitution, which was corn for the carrots;however, the meal itself was excellent. highly recommended

This is one of our fav. meals. I tweaked the recipe a bit, I add celery and mushrooms and omit the peas. I use one can cream of chicken soup and one can of cream of mushroom soup. And I double the dumpling mix. Very easy to make .
