Indulge in a lighter crunch and a distinctive taste you just can’t get from plain old peanut brittle.

Based on some reviews, the Betty Crocker Kitchens did a little extra testing for this recipe and guess what? They found that lowering the oven temp to 300 degrees and baking a little longer than the original recipes, the Chex were a little crispier and crunchier. The recipe you now see reflects the changes made. Happy munching.

This recipe is very tasty nice snack but very messy to make. I saw the sweet condensed milk bubble up in the pan and was almost spilling out of the pan on the sides. You have to keep watching the oven at all times to see what it's doing. I used a cookie sheet and parchment paper. It came out chewy. I used pecans it gives it a better taste and I sprinkled sugar cinnamon on top. I baked it for 17 minutes at 325 degrees. I let it cool on freezer paper for about 30 minutes. Dishes were very messy to wash had to rinse in water first then wash off. Parchment paper on pan a must !!! maybe line the bottom oven with foil paper for spills.

Bake as directed, stir & bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to make it crunchy & not so sticky.

I also had trouble with this staying moist and sticky instead of crunchy -- any suggestions? what are we doing wrong?

We loved this receipe and it is great for people with Celiac disease since you can use Gluten Free Chex. This receipe is especially good if you use pecans instead of peanuts.

My family loves this recipe, except it doesn't ever get crunchy. It stays moist and sticky.
