Chewy Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

To help the chopped peanuts adhere to the chocolate topping, make sure you sprinkle them on top of the chocolate right after it’s spread over the bars.

I doubled this recipe and still used a 9x13 pan so we had thinker bars. It had to bake 40-45 min to get the middle done, but came out awesome!

I just made these bars, they haven't even cooled yet, but they look yummy! I did put it in a 9x9 pan because I like a thicker bar, because of this I did have to bake them for 25 minutes. So I'm wondering if the pan size is wrong on the recipe for the baking time. Good luck to everyone else who makes them.

These were really easy and good. I added a little more chocolate to the top, can't have to much chocolate! I am very glad I read the reviews befor making them, the cooking time was off, at least for my oven. I only had them in the oven for 12 min. and that was perfect. I know every oven varies so just be watchful when making them. Very tasty though, and easy!

Be very careful with the time that you are cooking them. I decreased the time by 5 minutes and these things still came out rock hard. I would decrease by 8 min the next time. The time suggested is not good for a family who likes gooier bars. I did use milk chocolate chips and I felt this was better for the younger taste in my fam. And, use lt. brown sugar not dark. This does make a difference.
