Made this cake and it is super easy. The only thing I could taste was the cherries in the bottom, it was kind of bland tasting. It crumbled and did not come out of the dish neatly. My coworkers thought is was good, I thought is was awful. Will not make again.

When the recipe says to dump in cake mix, does that mean with all the other cake mix ingredients (oil, eggs...), or is it just the powdered mix?

made this it was super easy and for a switch one time I used cherry Dr. Pepper and another time added chocolate chips and called it chocolate covered cherry cake everyone loved it both times- I've also used diet cola trying to cut a few calories- LOL and a cherry cola for a more cherry flavor
