This cake’s flavor is reminiscent of the favorite candy chocolate-covered cherries. Share it with those who love that combination!

I'm planning to make this cake tonight for a birthday, but just a quick tip. To avoid the chips sinking to the bottom, mix the chips with about a quater cup of flour before adding to the mix. This should help the chocolate chips to stay distrubted through out the batter while baking. Excited to bake.

Cake tasted great. Batter too thin to hold chocolate chips in suspension and most of the chips settled to bottom of cake during baking.

This is very good with and without the cherry topping. I serve the topping on the side because we are eating the cake over a period of days and we didn't want the cake soggy. It's delicious with coffee and tea.

This is one of my favorite recipes I''ve found so far on BettyCrocker.com. It was easy to make and delicious. I even experimented a little bit and made a chocolate version of it.

Wonderful dessert! Reminded me of a chocolate chip muffin with cherries on top. Next time I''m going to try a different type of chip and maybe a different type of fruit, but this was perfect!

This was a quick, little cake that made this Sunday afternoon special. Perfect for taking to a friend''s house with tea. I used canned strawberry filling, but I bet it would tase just as excellent with a little dallop of sour cream on top, if fruit is not available. Yummy!
