A “cloud” of meringue is heavenly when filled with a cream cheese blend and colorful, sweet-tart fruit.

I have been making this dessert for over 30 yrs. It is my husband's favourite all-time dessert. What I like about it is...it is cheap to make, you can shape the meringue into different shapes and it is gluten free. The recipe can easily be doubled and you can try different toppings too. BE SURE TO SPRAY YOUR BROWN PAPER BAG LINER OR PARCHMENT PAPER WITH PAM....for the meringue to be removed easier.

I remember being a little girl (I'm 25 now) and my Grandma Jacki making this for my birthday every year. I have never had anything so freaking good in my whole life. This is my absolute favorite dessert ever, and now that she's older, I can make this for myself on my birthday, and whenever I have 3 days to make a phenomenal cake! I wish I could give this a trillion spoon rating =]

This is a time consuming recipe but well worth it. I had to bring something impressive to the first family Thanksgiving in 15 years and not only was it a hit, it was gluten-free. I wasn't paying close attention to the ingredients when I made it. All the kiddos with gluten allergies could eat it. (Watch the pie filling, though.) Definitely an A+ especially if eggs are on sale!

My mother started making this when I was very young. Now, 40+ years later, I make it and savour every bite! It is not for the diabetic! Never ceases to amaze me how many people ask for the recipe and go back for seconds, thirds, and fill a container to bring home. Just don't put the berries on the whole dessert; keep them on the side & let your guests spoon their own. Best to have extra berries! Delicious!
