Ingredients

slices bacon
1
10.7 ounce can cheddar cheese soup
1
8 ounce can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
3/4
cup milk
2
15 ounce cans green beans, drained
ground black pepper to taste
1 1/3
cup french fried onions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • 2 Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.
  • 3 In a 1-1/2 quart casserole dish, mix together the bacon, soup, water chestnuts, milk, green beans and pinch of black pepper.
  • 4 Bake for 30 minutes or until heated through.
  • 5 Stir and top with French fried onions. Bake for 5 additional minutes or until onions are golden brown.
