A hungry-man's dish if there ever was one, this main course calls for three kinds of canned beans, plus ground beef and a crown of golden biscuits bites.

Expert Tips

For extra flavor, stir in 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits.

Finely shredded cheese is a great way to extend the cheese in a recipe, although regular shredded cheese can be used.

My dh and I really loved this casserole. The flavors came together and it was a one dish meal. The only change I made was to add some basil and garlic powder. I did misread the part about the biscuit being cut into pieces, I just left them whole, but they were big so they covered the dish well. Will definitely make this dish again.

This was just ok for us. It was easy and cleaned out the pantry, but the taste wasn't that awesome.
