Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese

Potatoes (Thinly Sliced)
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Cook onion in butter until soft, add flour and cook for 2 minutes
  3. Whisk in milk and cook until thick and buddy. Remove from heat and add 3/4 cup of cheese, stirring until cheese is melted; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Layer half of potatoes in a baking dish and cover with half of the sauce. Layer remaining potato slices on top of sauce. Top with remaining sauce and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  5. Bake, covered for 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
