I followed the recipe for this cake but when it was done, it tasted like a biscuit, not a cake.

My kids and I made this last week for my husbands birthday and we all loved it! It was very simple to follow, even with the kids and came out perfect. I made a double layer and added custard and some left over cherries to the center...yummy! Will definitely will make this again :)
