This ground beef dish gets its heat from three different sources—salsa, beans and chili powder. Hamburger Helper® dinner mix makes it easy.

DONNA, on every box of Hamburger Helper there is a picture that shows the finished product. On the ingredients panel, pasta is listed. I can only guess that you have never been to a store that sells Hamburger Helper so you wouldn't have seen the boxes, or you've never eaten Hamburger Helper, or you have seen the boxes and/or eaten Hamburger Helper & you are just IQ challenged.

This is in response to one review left by Donna complaining that the recipe included pasta yet no pasta is listed in the ingredients and left a negative review for this. Hamburger Helper is listed in the ingredient list and to the best of my knowledge it usually includes pasta. I am not sure why comments like that are included in a rating number but it is.

Tasty! My husband doesn't care for Hamburger Helper but he loved this recipe. Very simple to make and satisfying.

I changed a few things in this recipe. Instead of using ground beef I cut up some chuck roast into small cubes, added some seasoning (seasoned salt, and garlic powder) and browned it in 1 1/2 Tbsp. of butter with diced onion. I also opted for just one can of mild chili beans, because my husband doesn't like alot of beans. I added some ground red pepper, chili powder and additional seasoned salt to the mix after it was finished. My husband and I really liked it. I would definnitely make it again.

I discovered this recipe on the 2007 calendar that was sent to me and I decided to try it and it was fantastic. A friend of ours came and ate with us the first time I made it and he also loved it. This is the best chili recipe that I have. Every time that I make it there is never any left. I just want to say its awesome!!! Thank you so much for this recipe.
