Perfect... once I added an egg!!! Was having a hard time believing that the dry, crumbly dough would be capable of forming into a ball and sticking together to form a cookie... was in disbelief that there WASN'T an egg in the recipe... so we added one, and they turned out PERFECT. Will definitely be making more for the holidays now!! ;)

These were okay. A bit dry. Flavor was different. Personally a one timer .

Pretty good recipe. The spice was too strong for me but I'm not ready to give up on the recipe yet. I would try them again with some spice experimentation (that sounds weird!)

Made these cookies for a 'Ladies Tea' and they were a huge hit. I have shared this recipe with others, per their request. Gave it an overall 5 rating, even though it is not a quick-fix recipe because it is worth the time invested.

So Yummy! I did not dunk them in the sugar a second time, you could even skip the sugar all together and they are still supper yummy! I did only add 1/4 ts allspice not a big allspice fan, and added 1/8 ts cloves to add more flavor..turned out supper yummy, remind me in texture of russian tea cakes. I'm going to try and re-work that recipe with these spices rather than buying a mix every time I want to make them!

These are very delicious but I think they only need to be rolled once with the powdered sugar. Also very easy to make and thats what I like as a busy Mom of three.

I made these cookies for Christmas and they were a big hit. They came out so moist. They were in the running for the favorite cookie by my husband. He normally likes chocolate anything, but he really loved these.

I thought this cookie had great taste. I was only able to make 26 cookies, rather than the 3 dozen stated in the directions. The dough was very crumbly and difficult to roll into a ball. I'm not sure if they need to rolled twice in the powdered sugar. Once might be enough.
