I have made this 3 x now. Since I am not gifting it, I didn't bother with the layering look on 2nd and 3rd. It is a very good recipe w/o the Cardamom- it was horribly expensive so I didn't buy it. 2 comments - it takes 1/4 per serving, so the batch does not make very many servings. I don't think the powdered sugar dissolved very well- so I am going to experiment w/ granulated sugar or sweetener. I saved quite a few calories by using sugar free creamer- french vanilla was all I was able to find.

I made this for a Christmas gift and the receipant enjoyed it. To answer "fairyfalls" ? of what is dry instant tea. It is iced tea mix without sugar or lemon added. You can usually get a store brand lots cheaper than the name brands besides!

OK can someone please tell me what dry instant tea is? The only thing I've seen like that is iced tea mix :/ Is it just loose-leaf tea? The photo doesn't look like loose-leaf, it looks like coffee grounds. I'm so confused, and I wanted to make this for my sister for Christmas!

This recipe is wonderful! I added an extra tbsp. of powdered sugar to the mix. I heated the water, added the mix, and added 1 tbsp. of non-fat vanilla coffee creamer instead of any milk. Mmmmm!!

This mix has a great flavor. Snack bag full of mix in fancy mug or cup from second hand store, wrapped in clear or colored paper, tied with ribbon and old fashioned candy cane as the bow- - -makes great inexpensive gift.
