cups Cheerios® Cereal
1
cup (6 1/2 oz.) green candy melts or coating wafers
1
tablespoon red cinnamon candies

Directions

  • 1 Line 1 cookie sheet with foil. Place cereal in large bowl. Melt candy melts as directed on package. Pour melted candy over cereal; toss to mix.
  • 2 For each wreath, drop about 3 tablespoons mixture onto foil-lined cookie sheet. With fingers, shape into 3-inch wreath with 1-inch center opening. Immediately decorate with cinnamon candies. Let stand about 5 minutes or until set.

I just got done making these. Not as easy as I thought and I used double the batch and only made 15. I used M&Ms instead of the cinnamons. They seemed to turn out good, just a little tricky and I need to go buy another bag of green candies to make another batch for the class.

I would reccommend using almond bark, melting it in a double boiler and dropping in some green food coloring.

I tried cherry morsels and it wouldn't stick. I live in a small town and just have a wal-mart and they don't have the candy melts so i tried those and i couldn't make it work. what could i do to make it stick.
