  • 2 In large bowl, mix cake mix, oil, water and eggs with spoon. Stir in raisins and nuts. Spread evenly in pan with metal icing spatula or dinner knife.

EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Use orange juice instead of the water to give these bars a nice flavor boost.

Add a cinnamon design. Dip small cookie cutters into cinnamon, and press lightly into frosting.

Sprinkle chopped nuts over frosted bars.

For a more cakelike bar, use 3 eggs and 1/3 cup water.

Turned out Great! I didnt use rasins in my bars but were fantastic anyways! I only baked the bars for about 18 min, if I would have left them in for the whole 20-25 they would have definatley been too dry. i cut them into shapes for halloween so it made it pretty fun and snack sized.

OK.....but kind og crumbly... I used applesauce in place of oil, so I don't know if that caused it, but I wouldn't make again. Too small for the calories too!
