I thought the bars tasted like a very dry cake wasn't quite what I was looking for. I may try them again with some adjustments. However the icing was fabulous and I will be making it again to go on cookies and cakes.

This is really bad. My advice, just make the frosting and eat it out of the bowl with a spoon.

Really yummy! Big hit. We love cinnamon so I added twice the amount called for in the recipe--great recipe and easy to make.

Agree with prior posters.... The cinnamon is overwelming and I only used 1/2 the amt in the bars. I also added 3 tsbp of applesauce and didn't really have a dry issue. Just can't believe how much butter goes in these....2 sticks, really? Didn't use the frosting - just used a can of vanilla. Ok...but probably wouldn't make again.

I took the advice of adding applesauce to the batter but increased it to 3 Tbs. I was glad I did, and I may add another tablespoon next time. The bars were fairly moist and cut easily but I was careful not to overbake them, I used the toothpick method. I thought the cinnamon overwhelmed the taste of the carrot cake to the point where I really didn't taste carrot cake at all so next time I will leave that out. I haven't iced the bars yet but will be leaving the cinnamon out of that. Hope my friends expecting carrot cake bars like cinnamon bars instead.

Just terrible- was so surprised because it looks so good in the picture. I made this twice - just to be sure. Very very dry and crumbly- the batter seems too thick- I wonder if a wet ingredient was forgotten in the recipe. The frosting was delicious, will use that part of the recipe. I am calling Betty Crocker to have them check this recipe.
