Once you’ve folded the trimmed edge of the lower crust over the strips, form a seal by gently pinching the folded dough. Fluting can be as simple as spacing the pinches to form a pattern around the pie’s edge.
Hold the rum, please! Instead of rum, use 2 teaspoons rum extract mixed with 1 tablespoon water.
