No doubt about it... I will definitely be doing this again!! They come out soft like the "Sugar Daddy" candy [not for people with braces!] but melt-in-your-mouth tastey like "Werther’s".
You have to be patient and cook it on Medium heat; don't turn it up just to hurry it up or you'll end up with a huge burnt mess. When I boiled water in the pot to clean it, I put 2 knives in the water and alternated between them to cut the thick sheet of caramel into squares. They will stick together [but not to your hands] so make sure you either have someone wrapping them or you have a place to set them spread out. You could even cut them from the 8"x8" into strips and roll them into something like "Cow Tails"! I'm now thinking I should have done that, lol.
