Made these for our Christmas party and they were excellent! They are easy and are served at room temperature. Made the onions three days in advance. Loved the crispy bread. Will make this many more times.

These are delicious and very easy appetizers. Make the onion mixture ahead of time, I agree with the other reviewer, it tastes great chilled. I have made these for a couple of parties now, they're a hit! Once they were set on a table with catered food...everyone thought they were part of the catering! They're impressive looking, and tasty!

Caramelized Onion Bruschetta is now on my favorites list. I thought the onion mix tasted much better chilled, which makes it nice to be able to prepare ahead of time. I did not toast my bread which saved me time, and space in my oven which I needed to use for other things. My husband could not get enough of these. I made this the first day for a group of women who were coming over for a party, and the very next day I made them to take to a family gathering since everyone loved them so much.
