I also found that storing them wasn't easy. Very sticky.they stuck together or stuck to the wax paper. very messy.

Could we use nutella for the chocolate topping?

Very tasty cookies, but also very difficult to store. I used a mini spatula to spread the caramel versus dipping. I didn't have any wax paper on hand to separate layers, so just used parchment paper. A little sticky, but doable. I also like them bite-sized. The whole turtle experience in one bite!

These cookies are tasty but messy to store. The next time I make them I will put the caramel directly on top of cookie, (not dipping them)and continue with the directions provided. I made them bite-size..very yummy... The ones I have already made I placed each one in a mini-cupcake paper and arranged on my cookie platter...seems to be working....not sticking to other cookies. Gave it a 4...because of the sticky situation

Delightful to eat. very messy to make! And I agree with others that there was not enough caramel if I had only used what the recipe called for. I used wax paper between layers, hoping I would not have problems with them sticking together in the storing/transporting phase!

Pretty good. Definitely appealing to the eye. Bite sized are the way to go since they're easier to eat. I used a whole bag of caramels (about 40 pieces).

I made these when my in-law's were coming over for dinner and I wanted an easy but elegant dessert. These were a HIT! The cookies were pretty hard when I put on the caramel and stuff but they were soft and delicious after a while. My mother-in-law requested I brings these for Christmas this year. My only issue is trying to store them without them sticking to each other or the container they are in. Very delicious!
