Sliced apples bake into the top of this rich, tempting cake. It's easy and fun because the caramel sauce forms while it bakes.

Sorry but this was not what I expected. Way too much Bisquick taste. Gluey and salty. Adjust and try again please.

Omg this was an awesome dessert! In Quebec Canada we have a poor mans cake recipe that makes the sauce under the cake like this does but this one has the apples and much more simple!!!

This looks and sounds good, but it's not. It tastes like bisquick with caramel sauce. I even added more apples than it called for, but it's just too much "cake". If I ever try it again, I'll cut the bisquick in half and double the apples.

This looks delicious. I can't wait to make this for my nieces and nephews. However, I was wondering what adjustment to the recipe would be needed, if any, to make this in a 13x9 or an 8x8?

I made this tonight in very little time. Easy to have the kids help with it. I doubled the recipe an baked in a glass 9x13x2 dish. It took exactly 60 minutes and came out crispy and brown on top and bubbling with caramel half way up from the bottom! I followed the directions exactly and wasn't disappointed! Everyone loved it so it's in the "favorites" box now.

I just made this and I think it was great. The caramel sauce is amazing. It was good with vanilla ice cream. Will be making this again.

I have made this many times to rave reviews. I also had my students make it in the Foods class I taught. They had to make it at home for homework since we did not have enough class time. Everyone loved it. It is simple to make and I have had 4 people for dinner devour it!

I just made this dessert & tried it & it was very good! I tried a second piece & drizzled extra caramel topping over the cake, then added whipped cream, excellent!

We were really disappointed with this dessert recipe. I had made an apple crisp type recipe last week that was fantastic. We had a few more apples that needed to be used so I tried this one for a different taste. Not good at all - very little caramel, apples stay on the top and just don't look nice. I added cinnamon to the apples, cinnamon and vanilla to the Bisquick cake part as suggested in other reviews. Still not good! I threw the recipe away.
