'Tis the season to get crafting! Make an attractive holiday planter from candy canes and an ordinary food can.

Answer to sluvsd question, no you dont have to unwrapp the candy canes. The hot glue will not melt the wrapper if you use a craft glue gun and not a wood working glue gun. I have tried this with a craft glue gun and it works great!

Ok...Im not real crafty so dont laugh if this is too dumb of a question.....do you unwrap the candy canes...I would think so since the hot glue would melt the wrappers....I know I know...but I have to ask. Thanks for not laughing to much at me! ;)

What an easy and realatively inexpensive center piece. This would also work out great as a gift

I bought several packages of candy canes at the dollar store after the holidays and made up several planters for next Christmas. They turned out great and will be used as containers for candy, not plants, for my visitors.
