Tips from the Betty Crocker Kitchens

  • tip 1
Rolled oats, also called old-fashioned rolled oats, are toasted whole oats, which are steamed and then flattened with large rollers. Quick-cooking rolled oats have been cut and flattened into thin flakes that cook faster than old-fashioned rolled oats.
  • tip 2
Use quick-cooking rolled oats instead of old-fashioned rolled oats.
  • tip 3
If you want to use the larger snack-sized candy bars instead of the fun-sized bars, cut them into 1/2-inch cubes.
