I couldn't tell what candy was recommended in the recipe, so I used Rolos. I'm not sure if it was the candy I used or the recipe, but none of the sticks stayed in the cookies. As soon as you tried to pick the cookie up by the stick it fell out. The flavor of the cookie was good, but not worth the effort. These cookies also spread a lot. I had 12 cookies on the first sheet and they all ran together. Six seemed to be the most that could be on one cookie sheet without them all running together. Overall a decent recipe but not one I would repeat.

I loved it and it was a hit at my son's kindergarten class. They taste more like a brownie/ cookie than cake. I would advise not to over beat the batter, it gets really really stiff, however I added a little water to make it easier to scoop out. One mixed did make about 32 cookie pops. What a great recipe!
